In 8 days I’ll be in Miami again (where this picture was taken) for a family reunion honoring my Tia Edna (front and center looking sassy in the red) who turns 90 this month. She’s the last of her generation, so it’s a pretty big deal! The last time we were all together was for my grandparents’ 50th anniversary, and this picture was the group shot that is just frozen in the worst kind of early 90s glory. Just look at my sandals. Just look at them. “You’re the whitest person there.” - Beth.
